For your consideration is this original oil painting by Montana Artist, Carol Newbury. Carol Newbury Howe is a Montana artist known for her knowledge and love of the out doors and wildlife. She spent much of her early life in and around her fathers logging camp learning about wildlife. In this painting she depicts a cougar or mountain lion on the prowl in a winter scene. In the background is a beautiful dawn or dusk sky; the sky color reflects of the snow. The big cat is standing on a river bank with one paw in the water, looking directly at the viewer. The artist's signature appears in the lower left of the painting. The frame and painting are in good overall condition. It measures 25 1/2"L x 32"T.
