For your consideration is this original Dau-Law-Taine, a Kiowa artist, painting on canvas, 2020. Darwin Tsoodle Kiowa (Dau-Law-Taine) is a Native American artist who was born in Anadarko, Oklahoma and is known for his depictions of Native American Braves on horseback. The painting depicts a Native Brave on horseback carrying a bow and arrow on his back, spear to his side, and decorated shield in his hand. He is decorated in a blanket and battle equipment and is riding a spotted appaloosa horse. Both the horse and Brave display wonderful attention to detail, which is given to the contrast of the sunset sky and the battle dress of the warrior. The background of this painting shows a wonderful mountain range with large trees in front of them and eight small birds flying overhead. The art shows wonderful use of color and excellent style. The piece is signed in the bottom right hand corner, reading "Dau-Law-Taine Kiowa copyright 2020." The painting was placed in a black frame with blue spotting. The artwork is in pristine condition and has no obvious signs of damage. This piece measures 10" by 12".
