This is an original G.C. (Gerry) Wentworth wax sculpture titled "Two Step". Gerry Wentworth was a Great Falls, Montana artist who grew up in the era just after Charles Russell's life. He was largely self taught and spent the majority of his life working in painting, sculpture and wood carving. Wentworth's works have been widely exhibited in such places as the C.M. Russell Show, the Phippen Art Show and the Frank Tenney Johnson Show. In 1981, he won Best of Show at the Northwest Americana Art Show. This sculpture shows a man and woman sharing a dance. The figures are beautifully carved and show wonderful detail. The sculpture is in good condition. It has been signed by the artist and is dated "1982". The wax sculpture is in good condition. It measures 6" x 9.5" and is 13.25" tall. Comes with a certificate of Authenticity and gives the new owner the rights to have it cast.
