This is an original G.C. (Gerry) Wentworth wax sculpture titled "Woodhawker". Gerry Wentworth was a Great Falls, Montana artist who grew up in the era just after Charles Russell's life. He was largely self taught and spent the majority of his life working in painting, sculpture and wood carving. Wentworth's works have been widely exhibited in such places as the C.M. Russell Show, the Phippen Art Show and the Frank Tenney Johnson Show. This piece depicts a frontiersman loading timber into the back of a horse drawn wagon. This wax figure comes with a Certificate of Authenticity which grants the right of the new owner to have it cast if they so choose. Also, a printed biography of the artist in included. Sculpture measures: 22" x 7.5" x 11.5".
