Featured in this lot we have an original Leonard Archuleta pen and ink "Bear Clan Chief Portrait" originating from 1977. Leonard Archuleta is a Taos Pueblo American artist located in New Mexico. The portrait displays a black and white portrait titled "Bear Clan Chief Portrait". The chief is shown in a decorative headdress with feathers, horns, and painted designs. The chief is shown holing a rattle in one hand and a ornamental bow in the other. The piece is marked in the bottom right hand corner reading "Leonard Archuleta 77 Taos". The piece is set into a black and gilt gold frame with a black border around the art. The back of the frame shows a tag with some information on the piece. The art shows good condition overall with some light wear across the frame. The frame measures 13 1/4" wide by 16 1/4" tall with the art measuring 8 1/2" wide by 11 1/2" tall.
