Tom Waugh is a very well-known and collected Western Americana artist, whose works have sold at auctions and shows, such as the Scottsdale Art Auction, Russell Auction, and the San Francisco Art Auction. His works are represented in collections and museums, such as the Devil's Tower Museum, Sheridan Museum, Yellowstone Historical Museum, and more. Tom has had his art represented and displayed in galleries in Santa Fe Taos. Tom is a self-taught artist who has been showing his works for 25+ years. This piece features vivid details of a rocky canyon scene, known as Blacktail Canyon, in Crook County, Wyoming. It shows beautiful earthy tones and large rocks with carvings, some of which read "Vance was here 1941", "Tom Waugh was here, 1979", "TT+TW", and other markings and drawings.
