For your consideration are two original nude oil paintings by Tom Waugh, 1978. Tom Waugh is a very well-known and collected Western Americana artist whose works have sold at auctions and shows, such as the Scottsdale Art Auction, Russell Auction, and the San Francisco Art Auction. His works are represented in collections and museums, such as the Devil's Tower Museum, Sheridan Museum, Yellowstone Historical Museum, and more. Tom has had his art represented and displayed in galleries in Santa Fe Taos. Tom is a self-taught artist who has been showing his works for 25+ years. The first work of art is an oil-on-board that shows a nude woman standing in a pond, facing away and slightly turned to the side. There are trees around the pond and a mountain range on the skyline in the distance. The back of this piece shows detailed information about the work and reads, "nude white girl who wants to be a grown girl, high on booze. Her name Anita, Syracuse, NY. O.D. on Heroin, 1978 / Tom Waugh". It shows the artist's signature in the bottom right corner of the oil painting. The second piece is an oil-on-canvas of a nude blonde hair woman lying on her back in bed with her legs to the side and right hand over her face. This piece is titled, per the back of the frame, "Stoned & Delusional", and shows vivid detail of the bedroom scene with a moody color. This work of art shows the artist’s signature in the lower left corner. Both pieces show lovely brush stroke detail of the subject and scene and are in overall good condition. This measure 16"x20" and 20"x16.
