Featured in this lot we have an original framed James Dogg acrylic painting by James Dogg originating 2007. James Dogg is a self taught American Sioux artist. The painting displays the silhouette of a teepee with a shield and spear in front of the teepee. The background shows a wonderful color gradient with the sun setting in orange and yellow and transitioning to a deep blue starry night. The piece is signed in the bottom right hand corner reading "J Dogg - c 2007 9". The painting is set into a wooden frame with the back marked with "Resting Warrior Acrylic Sealed James Dogg Sept, 26, 2007 Self-tought Artist (Sioux Native)". The piece shows good condition overall with some light wear across the frame. The frame measures 23 1/2" wide by 19 1/2" tall with the art measuring 19 1/2" wide by15 1/2" tall.
