For your consideration is this original print from the Bud Chapman collection showing a birds eye view of Bozeman from circa. 1910. The photograph was taken from the vantage point of Story Hills, Northeast of town. Rising up above Bozeman and the Gallatin Valley are the Spanish Peaks. Situated almost by itself is Montana Hall, on the Montana State College campus; it is a mere 14 years old in this photo. In the center of the photo is ether the old Irving School or the old West Side High School. Other notable buildings are Holy Rosary (1908), Lehrkind Brewery (1895), the largest building in Bozeman at the time, and the Lehrkind Mansion (1898). In the foreground are the Northern Pacific Rail Road yards. Note the fresh paint on the F. & M Elevator Co., F.L. Benepe elevator, and the Mail Pouch Tobacco sign. This framed photo is in very good condition and offers an interesting look into Bozeman's earlier days. The framed photo measures 15.5" x 12.5".
