For your consideration is this original, beautifully framed Siegfried Fischer (1899-1974) painting done in 1923. Siegfried Fischer-Treuenfeld was born in Vienna, Austria and was a member of Vienna's influential Wiener Werkstätte, a group of artists renowned for their skill in design and craftsmanship. He mainly made his living as a painter and graphic designer. Expressionism was a major influence on Fischer-Treuenfeld, who frequently used vivid colors and strong, expressive brush strokes in his works. The painting shows an amazing nature scene with towering, snow capped mountains in the background. The foreground shows a beaten dirt path leading through the mountain side wilderness and a worn down wood fence to the left of it. The painting shows vivid colors and amazing attention to detail throughout the entire piece. The painting is set in a beautiful gold painted frame showing an intricate style in the design. On the bottom middle of the frame is a gold colored plaque reading, "Siegfried Fischer (1899-1974) Austrian Alpine Pasture c. 1923". The artist's signature can be seen in the bottom right hand corner of the painting. The painting shows good condition overall with no signs of damage or wear present. The frame shows some wear from its age and use over the years with fading paint, worn spots and slight chipping, but no obvious signs of damage are present. The visible art measures 19 1/4" L x 27 1/8" W, while the entire piece measures 26 3/8" L x 34 1/4" W.
