Included in this lot we have an original watercolor painting by Crow Native American Indian artist Leland Stewart. Stewart is a member of the Crow Nation, Whistling Water Clan and the High Hawk Society. He graduated from the Institute of the American Indian Arts in 1975. Stewart's artwork is featured in in Montana fine art galleries and beyond. Many of Stewart’s works can be found at the Sam Terakedis Fine Art & Jewelry Gallery. Some examples of his art have been priced at $6,200 for Two Sisters in the Bear Paws, $5,500 for Uncle Buffalo, and $6,000 for The Visitor. This painting shows a pair of two Crow Women both wearing wonderfully accented wearing blankets standing in front of a landscape with mountains rising in the background. Each of the corners shows a triangular pattern with colors of yellow, red, and black. The painting exhibits Stewart's unique style of bright, vivid colors and personal interpretation. The piece is signed in the bottom right hand corner reading "Leland W. Stewart 2020". The watercolor shows good condition overall and measures 18" wide by 24" tall.
