Featured in this lot is this framed original watercolor painting done by Marilyn Beth Hughes of Billings, Montana in 1982. Softly real, gently honest and focused paintings of watercolor. In over 25 years of being a professional artist and teacher, Marilyn has won many national awards, has her work in several museums and private collections from coast to coast. She has shown her work in the Russian Institute of Art, at the American Museum of Natural History and the Salmagundi Club in NYC as well as numerous group and solo shows. Marilyn makes her home in Billings Montana and displays her artwork with Rimrock Art & Frame and the Depot Gallery in Red Lodge. This painting shows three or four horses standing in a group. Two face towards the right and the one in the middle faces to the left. The painting is signed on the bottom right in pencil reading, "© 1982 Marilyn Hughes". The painting sits in a nice wood frame, is set behind glass and is triple matted. The art and frame are in good condition with no signs of obvious damage. The art measures 9 1/4" L x 12 1/4" W. The entire piece measures 17 5/8" L x 20 3/4" W.
