The artist signature can be seen in the bottom right hand corner with and is dated '91 underneath the signature. Montana Artist Laurel Ovitt is a 4th generation Montanan and her artwork shows the beauty and her love for Montana. Laurel Ovitt is a western and wildlife artist and her choice of medium is watercolor. In Laurel's early years she grew up in Dillon Montana and often visited her grandmother Mable Ovitt who lived in Bannack Montana. Laurel has also lived in Dixon Montana where you can see her talents in her paintings of the Salish native teepees. Laurel attended MSU Bozeman and received a BS degree in Civil Engineering Technology. Laurel's work has taken her too many places in Montana and it is reflected in her artwork.
