For your consideration is an Original National Park Service Boundary Line Sign from Yellowstone National Park, circa 1890 to early 1900s. Most land surrounding Yellowstone national park is managed and protected for the public by the US Forest Service. Private lands near these park areas are widespread and intermittent, but primarily occur at lower elevations. The sign reads "United States Department Of The Interior BOUNDARY LINE National Park Service". The sign has the original six holes for mounting, two additional holes in the center top and bottom appear to have been used for mounting the sign. The sign is in good overall condition, lettering paint displays age related weathering, oxidation, with small dents and missing paint. Measures 4"W x 14.75"L
