Pascal Kelly learned to make bits and spurs from a blacksmith in town as a way to make money for a trip to the 1904 World’s Fair from his small town in Texas. Kelly had an outstanding ability to make or repair almost anything. He eventually found work with J.R. McChesney’s shop for a period of time. Eventually Kelly started his own business and produced an incredibly wide range of designs for both bits and spurs. The condition of this pair of spurs is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this pair of spurs is 8" x 4" x 4 3/4".
