For your consideration is this cast iron hand painted P & R railroad spittoon. The cast iron spittoon shows a sturdy construction with black painted exterior with P & R embossed on the outside of the spittoon and painted white; the inside of the mouth of the spittoon is painted white and shows a large mouthed surface for easy spitting. P & R stands for The Philadelphia and Reading Railroad which was one of the first railroads in the United States. The condition of this spittoon is good and shows no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this spittoon are 6" x 8 1/2" in diameter.
