For your consideration is this Papago Indian hand woven flat basket and bowled basket circa 1940's and 1950's. The Papago Tohono O'odham (People of the Desert), are located in Arizona and are known for their weaving skill. The piece shows a geometric pattern with nice tight weaving of yucca and bear grass in very good well-preserved condition. The condition of these baskets is good showing no deficiencies in the weave or in the integrity of the baskets themselves; showing no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this these baskets are 3 1/4" x 12 1/4" and for the flat basket 15" in diameter.
