Included in this lot is a Papago Native American Indian, hand woven coil baskets. The Papago Tohono O'odham (People of the Desert) are located in Arizona and are known for their weaving skills. The pieces are made with yucca and natural fiber in a coil design. The first of the baskets shows a traditional design; the second basket shows a star style design. The baskets show a wonderful, tight weave and good condition, overall. The first of the baskets measures 12 1/2" in diameter and the second measures 14" in diameter.
