Included in this lot we have a Papago Native American Indian hand woven coil basket. The Papago Tohono O'odham (People of the Desert), are located in Arizona and are known for their weaving skill. The basket displays traditional coil construction out of yucca and bear grass. The piece shows four geometric figure designs of turtles or other animals made out of the bear grass with bear grass spaced across the rim of the basket. The piece shows good condition overall with minor wear. It measures 18" in diameter by 4 3/4" tall.
