Featured in this lot is a collection of Papago Indian hand woven round baskets, featuring one with a lid. The Papago Tohono O'odham (People of the Desert) are located in Arizona and are known for their weaving skills. Both baskets display a nice tight weaving of yucca and bear grass. The smaller basket shows a tan and brown coloring with a lid. The second basket displays tan, black, and a light and dark brown coloring with a geometric pattern throughout. Both baskets are in fair condition, showing some wear. The smaller basket measures 3" tall with the lid and 17 1/2" in circumference. The larger basket measures 3" tall and 25" in circumference.
