Featured in this lot is this Pendleton Beaver State medallion Indian trade blanket. In 1912 Pendleton began producing wool blankets with authentic, traditional Native American Indian designs for some of the Northwest Tribes under the Beaver State label. Pendleton Blankets and the Beaver State label have since been highly regarded for quality, durability and warmth; although this blanket is missing its label it is attributed to Pendelton of the labeled Beaver State stock. The condition of this trade blanket is preserved with a horizontal tear in the blanket and the edge showing some repair and is missing its label. The measurements of this blanket is 60 1/2" x 49 1/2".
