Featured in this lot is this striking Pendleton Beaver State, Chief Clarence Burke, two sided wool blanket. The image on this blanket is called "Sunset Fading Away From The Swan". In 1912, Pendleton began producing wool blankets with authentic, traditional Native American Indian designs for some of the Northwest Tribes under the Beaver State label. Pendleton Blankets and the Beaver State label have since been highly regarded for quality, durability, and warmth. This blanket features a portrait of Chief Clarence Burke, 1892-1987, in blacks and grays on a grey cream background. The colors are reversed for the back on a solid black background. The blanket is in like-new condition, with the original tag still attached. It measures 62"X80".
