Featured in this lot we have a Pennsylvania House Goddard style block front dresser originating from the mid to late 20th century. Pennsylvania House Furniture was an American furniture manufacturer based out of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania House was known for their excellent craftsmanship and beautiful furniture, making them very popular with the middle and upper class from 1930 to the 1970's. They started to decline in the 80's and 90's trying to compete with the price of furniture imports from China and Mexico. They where bought out in the early 2000's and are no longer in production. This cherry wood block front dresser shows four pull drawers with brass fixtures and locks. The dresser shows beautiful cherry construction with beveled edges across the top and wonderful Goddard style block front design. The dresser shows good condition overall with working locks and some light wear across the top. The piece measures 34 1/2" wide by 31 1/4" tall and 19 1/4" deep.
