For your consideration is this Persian Serapi Heriz hand-knotted wool runner rug. The rug features a fine detailed design, bright colors, and a tight weave. The Heriz rug is one of the most well-known styles of Persian rugs, known for its unique styles and patterns. Serapis, for example, have been considered the finest grade of Heriz since the beginning of the 20th century. Their name is connected to the Serab village, where they originally came from. The popularity of a Serapi carpet may be attributed to several beautiful qualities of the rug, but most significantly to its alluring hues and color schemes. The rug displays wonderfully and professionally handcrafted wool construction and shows geometric floral patterns along the border, with the center of the rug showing four medallions. The rug is predominately beige, light sky blue and red with other colors of dark green, bronze, black and tan and features white fringe on each end. The rug shows good condition overall with little to no wear and no signs of damage noted. It measures 120" L x 29 1/2" W and weighs 19 pounds and 7 ounces. S861
