For your consideration is a fabulous Contemporary and Plains Indian style bow, beaded tanned leather quiver pouch and arrow set. This quive shows a dark brown leather arrow pouch with twisted and braided fringe, sinew tied braided carry / hanging strap with a colorful and decorative metal and wood beaded design, feathers, horse hair, sinew, and bone buttons. Both ends have a geometric double-sided seed bead strip with colours of white, red, cranberry, orange, yellow, and black. The bow is a red wood with a sinew sewn dyed leather hand rest which on either side are seed beads of red and white and leather fringe with wood beads. The bowstring is sinew. The arrows are self nock river cane shafts, sinew attached turkey feathers, sinew attached stone arrowheads. One arrow is wall decor with an added dangling sinew attached turkey feather, bone buttons, wood barrel bead and horse hair. This artifact set is in very nice condition, wonderful craftsmanship. Quiver pouch measures approximately 24"W x 42"L hung, 36"W with arrows in pouch, arrows are 32"L approximately, bow is 6"W x 40"L.
