The lot consists of nine hand carved gorget and pendant effigy pendants from the Plains Indians constructed of catlinite from the 20th Century. These are all crafted of catlinite Minnesota pipestone which has a deep red to pink coloring. The collection consists of four gorget, button round disc like pieces, a crescent moon gorget and four grizzly bear claw pendants (not real claws but made of catlinite). Each of the nine pieces shows a pierced hole for use as a necklace pendant, gorget or decoration. These range in age from contemporary to antique and are in good condition. Largest being 2 5/8”L.
