The lot consists of six hand carved animal spirit effigy pendants from the Plains Indians constructed of catlinite from the 20th Century. These are all crafted of catlinite Minnesota pipestone which has a deep red to pink coloring. The collection shows two thunderbirds, a peyote water bird, mule or horse, bear, and turtle. Each of the six pieces shows a pierced hole for use as a necklace pendant, gorget or decoration. These range in age from contemporary to antique and are in good condition. Largest being 4”L and the widest being 3.5”W.
