The lot features a hide wrapped stone "floppy" head war club, commonly referred to by collector as a "skullcracker" from the Plains Native American Indians with nice early vintage age. The large stone is covered in hard rawhide which is covered in deep red coloring with Indian hide connecting the rock to the handle alowing the head to"flop" or fall back and forth giving momentum to the swing. The connection is wrapped in red stroud clothe and the wood handle is covered in Indian tanned hide with deep red color as well. The top is covered in glass trade seed beads in colors of lilac, chalk white, red white heart, medium green. The bottom has a drop of horse tail hair with red stroud covered in white heart cobalt and light blue wound glass pony trade beads. The club displays very well and has some age to it. Measures overall 40-inches overall, club and head are 20.5-inches long without drop, head is about 4.5-inches by 2.75-inches by 2-inches.
