The lot features a set of Sioux beaded hide hard sole men's moccasins with unique bifurcated / split tongues with a nice early vintage age. The set shows hard parfleche rawhide sole bottoms with a nice foot worn pattern and tanned hide tops which are covered with a green dye / paint as well as classic geometric beadwork done in glass trade seed beads that are sinew sewn. The beads show white, cobalt and red. The moccasins have a dual or split tongue, commonly referred to as bifurcated which are also beaded and each split holds two rolled tin jingle cone dangles which further have red plume feather adornment. The set displays very well and shows some slight bead loss which shows the sinew thread. Each moccasins measures 12-inches long by 4.5-inches wide by 4.75-inches high ankle.
