This is a Plains Native American Indian bison tooth and beaded medicine pouch. The piece is made on tanned hide with a beaded design on both sides. The beadwork is done with glass seed trade beads in colors such as Chalk White, Black, Light Turquoise and Turquoise. The bag also shows a fringed edge all the way around with the bottom accented by bronze and amber beads and dentalium shells. The front of the medicine pouch is decorated with a bison tooth.
