The lot features a Plains Indian style stone axe war club. The piece shows a stone head, which is secured to the split top wood handle with strips of rawhide parfleche wrapped and dried to secure the stone. The handle is a smoothed, round, two-tone wood. Half way up, the handle is adorned with a feather and bead tied tassel. The end of the handle has a braided Parfleche wrist loop. This piece measures 19" long overall with the head measuring 7" long by 3 1/4" wide.
