The lot features a contemporary gunstock war club with spontoon blade in Plains Indian style. The pieces origin and age are not known, but it appears to be a late piece. The club has a classic gunstock club design in what appears to be hardwood with incised carved fetish symbols of a Buffalo / Bison head, horse shoe or Buffalo / Bison tracks. The blade is sheet steel in a spontoon shape held into place with a metal spike. The gripping area is covered in a red waxed clothe. Measures overall 28.25"L by 11.5"W. The blade is about 5"L by 2"W.
