This is a contemporary Plains Indian style spontoon pipe tomahawk. The piece shows a hardwood haft handle with rasp file burns and brass covered furniture tacks. The head shows a spontoon Revolutionary war style blade with weeping heart cutout having die engraved dot design with curled basal processes along with stepped etched eyelet hole with chevron moldings. The pipe bowl shows seven ridges with a tall deep design. The head is cast iron and held with metal furniture tacks. The piece is of a contemporary manufacture and is not American Indian. Measures overall 26"L by 11.5"W.
