This is a nice fully top beaded flat bag on tanned hide from the Plateau Native American Indian region dating to the late-1900’s. The piece is constructed of tanned hide, trade clothe and canvas with a cardboard stiff backing with a tanned leather fringe and braided top strap. The front shows all glass petit and seed trade beads in a geometric and abstract floral pattern showing a white background with design in Cheyenne pink, royal blue, medium green, maroon, and light lavender blue. The piece is likely from the Flathead or Nez Perce Indian tribes and shows overall good condition with little to no bead loss. Measures overall 27.5”L with strap by 11.25”W.
