Featured in this lot we have a Polish made Model 48 training Mosin-Negant bolt action carbine chambered in .22 LR. The rifle was manufactured in Poland between 1948 to 1960. The wz. 48 model carbine was designed as a single shot training model for soldiers to train to use the Mosin-Negants. The carbine displays a 24 3/4" round barrel, two piece hardwood stock, adjustable rear sight, single shot design, and blue'd finish. The barrel features the hooded front sight and flat adjustable rear sight as well as split barrel bands. The top of the receiver is stamped, "11 1954 AB04002". This carbine was nicknamed "Baby Mosin" due to its training capacity. The rifle shows good mechanical construction with a working action and trigger. The piece shows good condition overall with some light wear due to age and use. The carbine weighs 8lbs 6oz. Serial Number: AB04002. This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic firearm, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
