Included in this lot is a Potts & Hunt London Black Powder Musket. Potts & Hunt imported guns from London to the United States during the Civil War. These weapons were most often carried by Confederate soldiers. The Lock showing border engraving and is marked POTTS & HUNT / LONDON. The barrel bears the correct British Proof Markings, though they are somewhat faded by powder burn. This firearm is fit with brass butt plate and trigger guard. The rifle has a 38 5/8” long barrel with fixed front sight. The rifle shows fair condition for its age. Black powder firearms do not require a FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
