For your consideration is this collection of three (3) vintage historical fiction and adventure books. The books publication dates range from 1899-1920s. The first book in this collection is titled, "Treasure Island" by Robert Louis Stevenson. The story is about a young boy named Jim Hawkins who goes on a dangerous adventure to recover buried treasure. Along the way, he encounters mutinous pirates, marooned castaways, frightening tales of ghosts, and much more. The book is in good condition with no signs of obvious damage. it measures 7 1/4" L x 5 1/4" W x 1 1/4" D. The second book in this collection is titled, "The Land of The Long Night" by Paul B. Du Chaillu, published in 1920 by Charles Scribner's Sons in New York. This book tells about Paul's adventure to the far North, The Swedish and Norwegian mountains, and the shore of the Arctic Ocean. The land of the long night is a land of darkness, snow, wind and intense cold. The book is in good condition despite the front illustration page detached from the book. The cover shows slight wear from its vintage age. The interior pages are in good condition with no tears or signs of foxing. The book measures 7 3/4" L x 5 1/2" W x 1 1/4" D. The third book in this collection is titled, "Robinson Crusoe" by Daniel Defoe published in 1897 by Altemus' Bookbindery in Philadelphia. Robinson Crusoe, as a young and impulsive wanderer, defied his parents and went to sea. He was involved in a series of violent storms at sea and was warned by the captain that he should not be a seafaring man. Ashamed to go home, Crusoe boarded another ship and returned from a successful trip to Africa. Taking off again, Crusoe met with bad luck and was taken prisoner in Sallee. His captors sent Crusoe out to fish, and he used this to his advantage and escaped, along with a slave. The book includes colored and black and white illustrations throughout. The book is in good condition with wear to the cover consistent with its age. The front cover is slightly disconnected at the bottom. The interior pages are in good condition with no tears or signs of foxing. The book measures 9 1/4" L x 7" W x 1 1/2" D.
