Featured in this lot is an amazing wood carved cigar store Native American head sculpture made by renowned wood worker Ralph Gallagher (1926-2000). Ralph Gallagher along with his sons John and Frank bring 3 generations of carving experience to each creation. The Gallaghers are half Mandan and half Dakota. Ralph was born in an abandoned train car in the south in 1926. This sculpture shows amazing attention to detail and vibrant colors bringing the sculpture to life and giving it great personality. The sculpture shows a smiling Native American man with short, black hair, a mustache and large teeth staring at the viewer straight on. He wears a black vest with a pocket watch hanging out of his left side pocket, with a yellow button up shirt. The sculpture shows great attention to detail from the man's face and his expression to his clothes. This Gallagher piece would make a fine addition to any collection. The sculpture shows good condition with no signs of damage and slight wear from its vintage age. The sculpture measures 9 1/4" L x 12" W x 23 1/8" H.*
