For your consideration is this wonderfully framed Ralph Mason mountain lake acrylic painting. Born in Seattle, Washington 1916. Ralph's love of painting was renewed in the early 1960s when he met a local painter at Newport Beach, CA, James Colt, primarily known for his bold and dramatic impressionist paintings. Mason studied under Colt for several years, also learning the style of Russian Impressionism passed down to Colt from Russian painter, Sergie Bongart, a respected California/Idaho painter and educator primarily known for his tonalist landscapes, still lifes and portraits, he had a career in American Impressionist painting for over 40 years.
Bordered by a gilded frame this acrylic painting by Mason features a cloud-filled blue sky hanging over majestic snowy mountains. These mountains reflect off the still lake with foliage on its shore.
