Featured in this lot is this rare 14th - 15th century European rondel dagger. The dagger features a wonderfully and professionally smithed iron construction that shows a full tang body with a finely edged blade that shows some chips to it from use with a hilt built into the blade. Daggers such as these were used as a last resort or to finish off ones foes on the battlefield so they didn't suffer overly. The condition of this Rondel dagger is well preserved with heavy oxidation to the piece and some erosion to the hilt but otherwise shows well preserved condition.
