For your consideration in this lot we have a rare autographed deluxe edition copy of The Life and Art of Charles Schreyvogel. The book is marked number 8 of 249 autographed deluxe edition copies ever printed. The book gives a detailed account of Charles Schreyvogel's life and later death, as well as contains prints of his work. It was written by James D. Horan and published by crown publishers located in New York. The autographed copy contains four color plates of his work not found in any standard copy. Unfortunetly due to his early death at the age of 51, his artistic carrier was cut short only becomeing recognized 11 years before his death. Dispite that Schreyvogel is still regaurded, along with the likes of Frederic Remington and Charles Russell, one of the artists of the last frontier. The book shows a canvas cover with leather around the spine. It is in good condition overall with little to no signs of wear. The book measures 16" wide by 12 1/4" tall.
