Offered in this lot are the Rare, "A TREATISE ON THE LAW OF SALES OF PERSONAL PROPERTY, Including the Law of Chattal Mortgages", 1891, by Christopher G. Tiedeman, F. H. Thomas Law Book Co., St. Louis, MO., and, "Yaple's Code Practice and Precedents Volume 1, 1887, by Alfred Yapel of the Cinncinatti Bar, publisher Robert Clark and Co. Cinncinatti". Both of these original full leather binding books are exceedingly rare, usually only available in modern softcover version reprints. Staples of civil law jurisprudence, these books would have been fixtures in the office and or personal libraries of every attorney from the end of the 19th century until the arrival and availability of the worldwide web, as well as major public libraries. Both books are in fair to good overall condition, the the the full leather bound hardcovers exhibit moisture and scuffing marring, gold gilt spine lettering is mostly intact. Intact pages feature age tanning with minimal foxing noted. No other obvious marring noted. Yaple's measures 6.25"W x 9.5"L x 2.25"D, Tiedeman's measures 6"W x 9.25"L x 2"D
