Featured in this lot is this rare C.S. Fly Frank McLaury born in 1849 and died in 1881 cabinet card circa early 1881; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. This is a scare cabinet card and reported to be the only known photograph of Frank McLaury alive being this one was taken by Fly for Fly Gallery earlier in 1881 being as Frank McLaury famously met his end at the Shoot out at the O.K. Frank McLaury born Robert Findley McLaury (March 3, 1849– October 26, 1881) was an American outlaw. He and his brother Tom allegedly owned a ranch outside Tombstone, Arizona, although this ownership is disputed, that cowboy Frank Patterson owned the ranch. Arizona Territory during the 1880s, and had ongoing conflicts with lawmen Wyatt, Virgil, and Morgan Earp. Ike Clanton repeatedly threatened the Earps due to Ike’s drunkenness and paranoia of Wyatt Earp ratting Ike out to the other cowboys for taking a bribe of $6,000 for the whereabouts of Billy Leonard. On October 26, 1881, Tom, Frank, and Billy Clanton were killed in the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral. Camillus "Buck" Sydney Fly (May 2, 1849 – October 12, 1901) was an Old West photographer who is regarded by some as an early photojournalist and who captured the only known images of Native Americans while they were still at war with the United States. He took many other pictures of life in the silver-mining boom town of Tombstone, Arizona, and the surrounding region. He recognized the value of his photographs to illustrate periodicals of the day and took his camera to the scenes of important events where he recorded them and resold pictures to editors nationwide. The condition of this cabinet card is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage and shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of this cabinet card is 6 1/2" x 4 1/4". TTP-24
