Featured in this lot we have a Merwin, Hubert & Co Junior chambered in .22 caliber. Merwin Hubert & Co was based out of New York City from 1874 until 1891. This rifle is stamped across the top of the barrel in front of the rear sights. The stamping indicates that this firearm was manufactured in the Hopkins & Allen factory in Norwich Connecticut. Barrel and receiver have acquired a nice patina. The rifle has its original walnut fore grip and stock. The action and pin have a little play in it. The hammer lock firmly when cocked back and functions properly when the trigger is pulled. The rifle is in fair condition with some wear indicative of age and it is missing a section of the stock on the left side. Serial Number: 15487 This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic Long Gun, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
