In 1899 Artus Van Briggle stepped off the train in Colorado Springs, though Artus was a brilliant painter, his artistic passions were most famously expressed in one of history’s oldest arts - pottery. The vessel shows a floral decorative rim that shows contrasting coloration of light blue to dark blue that shows the petals well.
