John Held Jr. (1889 – 1958) was an American cartoonist and author, one of the best-known magazine illustrators of the 1920s. Held's work appeared regularly in The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, Harpers Bazaar, and Life Magazines. This print is “The Bootlegger's Bride (God Pity Her)". The print show a new bride crying in her home while her new husband is outside drinking with another man. The print is very nicely matted and professionally framed. The shows art measures 11" X 14 1/4". The frame measures 19" X 22 1/2".
