This is an excellent hand woven flat weave rug by master weaver Pedro Sosa. The rug was made using 100% soft, fine, hand spun yarns in a beautiful Relampago Eye Dazzler pattern. The rug was hand woven with a tight weave using 100% hand spun wool yarns that offer natural variegation and durability with color fast aniline dyes. The tight hand woven weave displays bright rich tones in the fine Relampago Eye Dazzler pattern of the time-honored Zapotec, multi-generational craft by a master weaver, Pedro Sosa. The rug shows a phenomenal, Navajo style Relampago Eye Dazzler pattern of the historic Trading Post days, with modern contemporary detail showing an unbelievable, very highly detailed design with radiating flash of lightning storm symbols in colors of white, black, and dark blood red. The rug shows a unique double tassel design with white coloration and twisted braiding. Relampago is translated to 'flash of lightning'. This is such a beautiful, highly designed, one-off rug with a fine, tight weave. The piece is brand new, in pristine condition. The rug measures 5’ by 4’ (5 foot by 4 foot). This is a brand-new rug.
