Presented in this lot area set of Four (4), Limited Signed Edition Robert F. Morgan "Helena Montana Queen Of The Rocks" Western style Belt Buckles, circa 1988-89. Robert F. (Bob) Morgan, (1929 - 2015), was an American born artist who received his first job in the industry at 13. In high school he studied under Commercial art teacher, Freddy Robinson, afterwards designing exhibits for the Montana Historical Society, where he eventually became curator. By the time he reached his 40s, Morgan decided it was time to turn his attention to being a fulltime artist. Additionally, of all the masterpieces he created, often his most desired images are intricate portraits of Native Americans and serene landscapes of the Western United States. Bob is recognized as a noted Montana Western Artist and Historian. The belt buckles depict different notable scenes from the city of Helena, Montana including: Guardian of the Gulch watchtower, St. Helena Cathedral, Helena Civic Center (formerly known as the Algeria Shrine Temple, and, the Thomas Francis Meagher (former Montana Territorial Governor)Statue. Each buckle has limited edition number, artist's signature, "Made in USA" stamp, "R K Designs UNLIMITED" stamp, "Colorado Silver Star" manufacturer's stamp.
