Featured in this lot is this 1980 chromolithograph of John Wayne as character Ethan from the film “The Searchers” by Robert McGinnis. The chromolithograph shows John Wayne in batwing chaps with a pistol on his hip and holding a shawl post-raid by a Comanche war band. Born in Cincinnati, McGinnis grew up in the small town of Wyoming in southwestern Ohio; McGinnis was recommended to the Disney organization by a high school art teacher and studied fine art at Ohio State University. This chromolithograph is numbered 920/1000, is signed in the bottom left-hand corner, and is from Greenwich Workshop Inc. The condition of this chromolithograph is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this chromolithograph are 28" x 24".
