Featured in this lot is a pair of clay oil lamps from the Roman/Byzantine period, c. 4th-6th Century A.D. Both of these ancient clay lamps include a spout and fill hole, as well as tooling design that is clearly visible. They each show an orange clay color with some white chalkiness from age. The first lamp measures 4" x 2" x 2". The second measures 3" x 2.25" x 1". The lamps are in good condition for age.
